Tag Archives: God’s rays

Neil Silverman took this photo a week ago, a beautiful sunset with storm clouds and sunbeams streaming out below. They are sometimes call God's rays or God's beams.

These beams are so wonderful to see. Thanks to Neil for allowing me to share his photo with you here. To learn more about Neil and Susan's photography, including upcoming workshops, here is the link to their website: https://silvermansphotography.com/

It poured this morning and then the sun broke through. Now clouds are streaming in for round two of the current storms headed our way. Heading for 50 inches season to date!

Sometimes you almost can't believe your eyes - the sunset is that beautiful. Tricia Schuster photographed a recent sunset with the sky turning the most amazing colors.

Her husband, Jon Loveless, also photographed a beauty.

These sunbeams shining through the clouds are sometimes called God's rays. It's quite dramatic to see them.

And now we head into November. We are experiencing warm, Indian Summer days right now. Even though the weather is sublime, we know changes are ahead.

Thanks to Tricia and Jon for allowing me to share their photos with you here.

Anne Mary Schaefer wrote, “I’ve been trying to stop by there for some time, and on Saturday afternoon the parking lot was packed! But watching the clouds streaming by throughout the afternoon into early evening, I thought it might be a lovely night for me and the kids to explore some of the trails. And I was right! The light was golden and luscious, and with not a car in the lot, we had the entire place to ourselves.”

It's cloudy and cool here today, and tomorrow we might get some nice rain. After that, it will be sunny and warmer. Memorial Day weekend is almost here, and the Mendonoma coast beckons!

Richard Hansen photographed last night's sunset from his place in Gualala. Those sunbeams shinning through the clouds are often called God's rays.

sunset-with-gods-rays-by-richard-hansenIt's cold and clear on the Mendonoma coast today. We have to bundle up today!

Bettye Winters photographed a big storm cloud just off Manchester Beach.

And in the second photo Bettye captured sunbeams, also known as God's rays, a beautiful sight.

Today we have had a windy, wet storm move through. The Pacific Ocean is roaring!
