Sharon St. James braved the wild weather we had over last weekend to take these photos of The Sea Ranch. The first shows high tide.

Calla Lilies are blooming now.

And here is an inviting pathway through a forest. Many trails on the Mendonoma coast end at a beach. I wonder if that is true here.

Thanks to Sharon for allowing me to share her photos with you here.

Karen Tracy found the delicate-looking Milkmaids, Cardamine californica, blooming.

It is one of our earliest blooming wildflowers. Rick and I are seeing them begin to flower in our forest alongside the creek.

We are having wild, cold weather. Rain followed by sunshine that then turns to rain seems to be the order of the day. Some call it zany weather!

Thanks to Karen for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

Yes, we are having a rainbow day, plus rain, hail, cold and wind. It's a wait-five-minutes kind of day, as the weather changes from sunny skies to dark clouds before you know it.

Lloyd Chasey captured this beautiful double rainbow from his home north of Gualala. What a great way to start his day...or to make a wish!

Thanks to Lloyd for allowing me to share his photo with  you here.

On Valentine's Day, Paul Brewer photographed this lovely scene.

The colors of sunrises are so fleeting, but can be so very beautiful.

A storm is approaching the coast. Yesterday we had sunny, warm weather, a balm after all the rain. But we have a storm coming in late tonight. Saturday is predicted to be rainy. Well, it's still winter, after all!

Thanks to Paul for allowing me to share his photo with you here. To see much more of Paul's nature photography, here is the link to his website: http://www.capturingnatureswonders.com/

Mel Smith photographed an Earthstar, a uniquely-shaped mushroom that grows on the Mendonoma coast.

Craig Tooley photographed a Scarlett Waxy Cap, a mushroom that makes me think of flowers growing in the forest.

Craig also found a group of Shaggy Manes. This mushroom is edible when young, but they quickly melt away into an inky puddle.

Thanks to Mel and Craig for allowing me to share their photos with you here.

We are having sunny, warm weather today. And tomorrow, Thursday, is supposed to be a bit warmer. We should be seeing more mushrooms appearing if they didn't drown in all the rain we've had!
