Cloud watching is a Mendonoma Coast tradition. See the clouds build up before a storm is a treat. Michelle Gill photographed this beautiful scene of prefrontal stratocumulus clouds.

Thanks to Michelle for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

Today  is clear and sunny. Rain coming in tomorrow! Maybe we'll see some similar clouds later today.

We take a break from a series of storms that brought much needed rain to California. This week is forecast to be dry and warm, a perfect time to visit the Mendonoma Coast.

When the storms were arriving, the wave action was beautiful to behold. Allen Vinson was out with his camera and got these wonderful photos. First a rainbow wave.

The surging Pacific Ocean is in plain sight.

And here storm clouds gather over a silver ocean.

Thanks to Allen for allowing me to share his photos with you here.

Bettye Winters photographed several different sunsets recently from the bluffs near Irish Beach. The Mendonoma Coast has had some early rainstorms and a cold storm is forecast for tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday. Storms to our north bring unsettled skies, which is what Bettye named this first photo.

And the photo below is an example of an autumn sunset. We are fortunate indeed to see the sun set "into" the Pacific Ocean.

And the photo below could be a painting. Bettye calls this one stormy weather.

Thanks to Bettye for allowing me to share her beautiful photos with you here.
