Tom Fleischman noticed two Does preening each other. As they preened, a Gray Fox wandered into the scene. Tom wasn't sure what would happen. But the Does and the Fox were peaceful, apparently living in harmony.
The Gray Fox looked over at Tom and turned his head to either side, as if asking, "which do you prefer?" Then the fox disappeared into the bushes.

Clay Yale noticed this Bobcat staking out an area of Clay's yard. Bobcats hunt rodents, and they seem to especially enjoy Gophers. When I look at Clay's photo, though, I wonder it this Bobcat is enjoying some sun.
One of my favorite photos of a Bobcat pouncing was taken by Drew Fagan. This photo of Drew's appears in my book, Mendonoma Sightings Throughout the Year. I call it a "once in a lifetime" photo. Drew was working in his studio - he's a renowned artist - when he saw the Bobcat. When Drew trained his camera on the Bobcat, the Bobcat pounced.

It hasn't been a good year for diving, as ocean conditions haven't been inviting. One day last month the ocean quieted down enough for several divers to get in a dive. Here's what Jack got after two hours of free diving.

There is a beautiful waterfall at Stengel Beach, which you can reach using the public access trail on The Sea Ranch. Allen Vinson recently photographed it.
