Red-shouldered Hawk, as photographed by Richard Zweig

There have been multiple sightings of several Red-shouldered Hawks recently. Richard Zweig photographed one perched on top of a bush.

These medium-size hawks prey on rodents, frogs and snakes. Perhaps Richard found this hawk listening for its next meal. They have a whistling call, which you can listen to here: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Red-shouldered_Hawk/sounds

Thanks To Richard for allowing me to share his photo with you here.

We are having another sunny day, but there is rain coming in a few days!
