There are some sunsets that you just shake your head, as you are having a hard time believing what you are seeing. Tricia Schuster photographed such a sunset last Thursday.

Sunset are a specialty of the Mendonoma Coast!

Thanks to Tricia for allowing me to share her photos with you here.

Foggy right at the coastline, sunny and mild at our place in Anchor Bay.

Cloud watching is a Mendonoma Coast tradition. Tricia Schuster captured this beautiful sight over The Sea Ranch.

These are clouds to dream under!

Nothing but blue skies today, but lots of wind!

Spring, nearly over, doesn't know...

Always lovely to see, Western Trilliums are in bloom on the Mendonoma Coast now. Tricia Schuster photographed one of the first ones to bloom.

Promise me you won't pick them! If picked, the leaf-like bracts won't be there to produce food for next year. Picking trilliums can kill them, or at the very least, set them back for years. So not worth it, right?

Western Trillium blossoms change color as they age. Here's a photo Craig Tooley took some years ago showing the fresh white trillium and an older trillium, perhaps 5 to 7 days older, with a pink blossom.

Another sunny, warm, dry - as in no rain for weeks - day. New flash! The first of the northbound Gray Whales have been seen of our coast. These are the newly pregnant females headed to their feeding grounds in the Bering and Chukchi Seas.

Tricia Schuster photographed the unusual sunset. Can you see the white arc? Almost like a white rainbow. Tricia described it as an aura.

Maurice Franco photographed this beautiful sight through the trees.

And Paul Brewer was the edge of the Pacific Ocean to get this lovely photo.

Sunny and cold here today. It was a very cold 36 degrees at our place in Anchor Bay at sunrise. brrrr!

Yesterday's sunrise, before the clouds moved in, was quite lovely. Tricia Schuster recently photographed a beautiful sunset.

Truly, a sunset to instill feelings of thankfulness and gratefulness. As tomorrow in the United States is Thanksgiving, I felt it was the perfect time to share Tricia's beautiful photo with you.

Rain, and more rain! We received over 2.14 inches of rain from the first big storm, and we are having some brief downpours today. Can edible mushrooms be in our immediate future?
