Rick and Teresa Denniston took a walk at Gualala Point Regional Park. The wave were crashing quite dramatically.

We are waiting for a big storm to hit. Residents have stocked up on food and firewood, just in case. Winds of 40 miles an hour are predicted and that can mean power outages. We need the rain so we say, "Bring it on, Mother Nature!"

Thanks to Rick and Teresa for allowing me to share their photo with you here.

The remnants of a storm brought the Mendonoma coast beautiful rainbows. Paul Brewer photographed a double rainbow.

And the next morning Teresa Denniston captured a lovely sunrise from his deck overlooking the Gualala River and the Pacific Ocean.

A big, wet storm is drenching the coast today. Batten down the hatches!

Thanks to Paul and Rick for allowing me to share their photos with you here. To see much more of Paul's nature photography, here is his website: http://www.capturingnatureswonders.com/

Teresa Denniston photographed a recent sunrise and you can see it reflected in the Gualala River.

We have a big storm headed our way. Creeks and waterfalls are flowing and it is a wonderful time to be on the Mendonoma Coast.

Thanks to Teresa for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

We have had two sightings of Bald Eagles.  Randy Burke sent in this sighting from a week ago Sunday. He wrote, “Nathan Becker from Napa captured this Bald Eagle while hiking around the campgrounds of [Gualala Point Regional Park].  Nathan and his friend Xavier are active bird enthusiasts, and thought the photographic capture of the eagle to be a highlight of their day out.”

Nathan’s photo shows an adult. Teresa Denniston spotted a juvenile near her home in Gualala.

We are hoping a mated pair will build a nest here on the Mendonoma Coast. The welcome mat is out!

Thanks to Nathan for allowing me to share his photo with you here.

A big storm is hitting the coast this afternoon. More rain is just what the doctor ordered!
