We have had 6.56 inches of rain since the storm started last night. Lots of flooding, trees down and power outages. How fun is that? Tomorrow may bring us beautiful rainbows, such as this one taken a few weeks ago by Paul Brewer

Thanks to Paul for allowing me to share his photo with you here.

Finally, after no rain for February, we are finally getting a little bit of the wet stuff. This morning came with beautiful rainbows. I took this photo from our deck in Anchor Bay.

Cold air came in today, and temperatures are in the forties. That's cold for the coast! oh, I can hear people living in cold climes laughing at me for saying the forties are cold.

We have more rain in our forecast. Today has been a "wait five minutes" kind of day. Brilliant sunshine, brief downpours and windy. Lots of visitors are here for the three-day holiday. They are getting quite a show.

Gary Levenson-Palmer captured this beautiful photo near Irish Beach this morning. You can also see the Pacific Ocean is roiled up, and - wow - is it loud today.

Carolyn Andre photographed a rainbow on The Sea Ranch.

And so did Jon Loveless.

I also want to show you what I saw from my house in Anchor Bay just after dawn this morning. Quite a storm cloud!

I love the cloud shows that often appear after a storm. We got another inch of rain last night and the storm door is open. Thank you, Mother Nature.

And thanks to Gary, Carolyn and Jon for allowing me to share their photos with you here.

About two weeks ago a storm left behind quite a cloud show, and brought rainbows. Marcelia Fosse wrote, “I caught this beautiful rainbow traveling northbound on the South Coast this past week. Yet another lucky Mendonoma blessing!”

We do have some rain in the forecast and we hope it arrives. The weather has been warm and dry, a boon for all the visitors who are here for the holidays.

Thanks to Marcelia for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

Bob Woelfel photographed a double rainbow over the closed Gualala Hotel last month.

Perhaps it was a good luck sign, as a "SOLD" sign was hanging on the venerable old gal soon thereafter. We can't wait for the Gualala Hotel to reopen.

Thanks to Bob for allowing me to share his photo with you here.
