And the hits just keep on coming - one beautiful sunrise followed by a spectacular sunset. Paul Brewer was out photographing them. Here is the sunrise of Nov. 4th.
And here is the sunset the night before, taken from the Gualala Bluff Trail with the sunset reflected in the Gualala River.
The Gualala Bluff Trail is a perfect place to watch the sunset. There are two public access points. The first is just to the south of the Breakers Inn and the second is the driveway/entrance to the Surf Motel. Thanks to Paul for allowing me to share these visions of loveliness. Monarch Butterflies are migrating through the Mendonoma Coast.
Beautiful Monarch Butterflies have been seen, feeding on various flowering plants. Paul Brewer photographed one feeding on escolonia.
These Monarchs are part of the Methuselah generation that will live for seven months or so, migrating down to Baja California.

The stars shine bright on the Mendonoma Coast.
Lucky us! Paul Brewer has taken up night photography. Last Tuesday the skies were clear and he and his wife, Jackie, headed for The Sea Ranch Chapel. Just look at this lovely photo.
I will look forward to seeing more of Paul's new passion, nighttime photography. Thanks to him for allowing me to share this beautiful photo with you here.
