If you’re a fisherman in a kayak, fishing off The Sea Ranch, you’d probably prefer not to see a Great White Shark. Ken Fischer wrote, “Four of us were out fishing this past Saturday and Bruce Bonfils caught this big Lingcod, 35 inches and 23 pounds. We also had a visit from a Great White Shark of about seven feet in length who cruised by very close to a couple of our kayaks. A memorable morning!”

There is no photo of the shark, but I can show you Bruce's big catch - that's one happy fisherman!

Thanks to Ken for allowing me to share his photo with you here.

Still hot on the Mendonoma coast, though right at the water's edge, it is really nice. Big cool down coming according to the weather folks. This morning's sunrise was stellar! I took this from our deck in Anchor Bay.

Gary Levenson-Palmer photographed this beautiful sunset before a rather vigorous storm arrived today. It's amazing how many colors are in this magnificent scene, which was seen off of Irish Beach.

Nancy Trissel photographed this sunrise a few days ago from her home north of Gualala. Sunbeams piercing the clouds makes a beautiful sighting.

Thanks to Gary and Nancy for allowing me to share their photos with you here.

We did have some heavy rain today, which was rather a surprise. Sunday is suppose to bring a big storm. We never complain about getting rain, though. It's a blessing.

Monday, November 26th, was filled with beauty. First, the incredible sunrise. The first photo is by Barbara Spillane.

The second photo was taken by me in Anchor Bay, just as the Pacific Ocean glowed purple.

Colorful sunrises don't last very long; their beauty is fleeting. You can't say that for sunsets though. They are the gift that keeps on giving. Tricia Schuster took this first photo at The Sea Ranch - isn't it an amazing sky?

Allen Vinson must have had a similar vantage point, but his was taken earlier when the clouds glowed pink. The ocean looks very calm.

Richard Hansen captured this sight from Gualala.

And lastly, Patti Lopez framed her sunset photo with a big tree, photographed north of Gualala.

Thanks to all who allowed me to share their photos with you here.

We had a nice, juicy storm overnight, and today is filled with showers. Our seasonal creek came to life, which means waterfalls on the Mendonoma coast!

Paul Brewer seems to specialize in beautiful sunrise and sunset photos. He recently photographed a sunrise pretty enough to make you catch your breath.

It helps to have the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop, doesn't it?

Thanks to Paul for allowing me to share his photo with you here. To see much more of Paul's nature photography, here is the link to his website: http://www.capturingnatureswonders.com/

Fog formed up today, cooling off the coast.

Saturday's sunrise was a beautiful gift for getting up early. The Pacific Ocean glowed pink and purple for a few short minutes while I went out on our deck to get this photo.

I took this panoramic photo but no photo would show the entirety of the magnificent sight.

We also had many rainbows yesterday as the storm was slowly moving out.
