Sightings

Mary Sue Ittner noticed these two Northern Alligator Lizards in the sun. The male appears to be biting the head of the female, but this is their mating posture.

Mating ladybugs, and now this. What's next?! Stay tuned.

Dorise Ford enjoys daily walks at Bower Park. The duck pond is full to the brim from all the rains. This is what Dorise saw recently:

Allen Vinson got lucky when this Bobcat strolled by, nicely accented by a Douglas Iris in bloom.

Then the Bobcat looked at Allen and he got this photo of its face. You can clearly see the tufted ears.

After a long hike, it must feel good to put your paws in a nice creek. That's just what Bear did at Walk On Beach on The Sea Ranch.

Bear looks pretty darn happy! Thanks to Bear's mom, Beth Kattleman, for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

It's always a happy sighting. Ospreys return to the Mendonoma Coast just in time for spring. Paul Brewer spotted this one on Easter Sunday.

That night Alan Reinke photographed the sunset from The Sea Ranch and wondered if the Pacific Ocean was on fire. Nope! Just another dramatic sunset.

Today we are having a mini heat wave, with very warm temps. Tomorrow the temperature is suppose to drop 20 degrees and the chance of rain comes back into the picture.
