Judy Mello photographed the full moon rising on March 7th at the B. Bryan Preserve in Point Arena. The Grevy's Zebras aren't paying any attention though, getting a little more dinner before darkness fell.
And I took this photo early the next morning of the moon setting over the Pacific Ocean. A few wispy clouds decorated the moon. It was mesmerizing!
There have been lots of Gray Whale sightings this past week. I will share a few pictures with you tomorrow.

Linda and Jorge Dorticos share their lives with a beautiful golden retriever named Tula. Tula became fascinated with several of the Grevy's Zebras at the B. Bryan Preserve in Point Arena.
It sure looks like Tula is smiling at the Zebras! Tula and her mom, Linda, are members of the Golden Retriever Love Brigade, a popular entry in Point Arena's 4th of July parade. Judy Mello headed out with her camera to try and get a photo of the Kingfisher visiting a pond at the B. Bryan Preserve. Then she noticed one of the Preserve's Grevy's Zebras eating her roses! No picture of the Kingfisher but Judy got this nice one entitled, "Stop and eat the roses."

Judy and Frank Mello have a wonderful preserve for endangered African animals right in Point Arena called the B. Bryan Preserve. You can see the exotic critters grazing in the fields as you drive up Riverside Drive.
Judy sent me a great photo if a young Grevy's Zebra, which is very startled by the appearance of a Gopher. I imagine the zebra saying, "Mom! What the heck???" It made me laugh and I hope you enjoy it too.
This would be a fantastic place to stay when visiting the Mendonoma Coast. Afternoon tours are also offered by appointment. Here's their web site to learn more. http://www.bbryanpreserve.com/
