Rozanne Rapozo went to Gualala Point Regional Park on Saturday and photographed one of the big waves coming in.

Thanks to Rozanne for allowing me to share her photo with you here. Tomorrow I will end the year with some beautiful rainbow photos. I did see a rainbow this morning, always a gift.

The Pacific Ocean is roaring today. The storm has moved on and we have several days of dry weather. This week's storms brought 4.15 inches of rain at Rick's and my place in Anchor Bay. Season to date is 18.43 inches!

Richard Hansen photographed Castle Rock, which is found on the north end of Gualala. A submerged rock in front of it causes some major white water!

Here is one of my favorite photos taken by Richard a few years ago. The wave looks like a monster. Is the monster going to hug Castle Rock? Or???

This first full day of winter is cold and cloudy here on the Mendonoma Coast. We have some rain coming in.

Thanks to Richard for allowing me to share his photos with you here.

Richard Hansen is the lucky person to live in Gualala and overlook Castle Rock. He has photographed various waves hitting a submerged rock in front of Castle Rock, which creates some interesting sightings. He swears this wave was ready to hug the distinctive rock.

One of my favorite photos by Richard of waves and Castle Rock is this one, taken a few years ago. It looks like a big monster is planning on hugging the rock.

Lovely sunny weather today. Lots of birds are singing their mating songs. It's a great time to be on the Mendonoma Coast.

Richard Hansen photographed a big wave hitting Castle Rock, which is off Gualala. Castle Rock is perhaps seventy feet high.
