A beautiful addition to the Mendocino coast is brought to us by the Mendocino Land Trust. It's called Pelican Bluffs Preserve and Coastal Trail, and is found south of Point Arena. Allen Vinson recently walked the 2+ miles of trails and took these photos.

Thanks to Allen for allowing me to share his photos with you here.

Pelican Bluffs isn't open to the public yet, but it will be soon. The Mendocino Land Trust has  paved the parking area and work has been done creating trails and building a boardwalk. Peter Reimuller walked these lands recently. The bluffs are very dramatic and beautiful. I really look forward to exploring here when it opens in the fall. I will let you know when the grand opening occurs.

A beautiful new 75 acre parcel has been acquired by the Mendocino Land Trust. It is located south of Point Arena on the west side of Highway One. It isn't yet opened to the public but will be soon. Peter Reimuller recently explored the land and took these photos.

C'Anna Bergman-Hill was visiting relatives on January 9th. She and her husband, David, observed this beautiful double rainbow in between Point Arena and Anchor Bay.

A little later this was the sunset they witnessed. Just beautiful!

Clouds are filling the sky as the first storm in several weeks is approaching. We can use the rain. Seasonal creeks are running low and wild mushrooms have mostly been missing in action. It's time for some wet stuff!

Thanks to C'Anna for allowing me to share her photos with you here.
