Kate Bloch was out on the bluffs when she saw this Great Blue Heron fly by. And there is a seasonal waterfall behind the graceful bird.

We have had a nice amount of rainfall and seasonal creeks and waterfalls are beautiful now.

Thanks to Kate for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

Sunny and windy today, and temps in the low 50s.  There was 0.75 inches in our rain gauge, giving us 54.60 season to date. 50 inches is a nice, wet winter so we're doing great!

I had heard there was a seasonal waterfall at our new public access spot, Pelican Bluffs. Steve Coffey-Smith photographed it several weeks ago.

I know, it's not the most dramatic waterfall, but still it's nice to know one is there. Wildflowers are abundant at Pelican Bluff and this is a great time to explore this beautiful place.

Thanks to Steve for allowing me to share his photo with you here. To learn more about Pelican Bluffs, here's the website for the Mendocino Land Trust, the wonderful people who made this acquisition happen: https://www.mendocinolandtrust.org/trails/southern-coastal-trails/pelican-bluffs-trail/

You can download a map from their website. And here it is for you to see:

Peter Cracknell wanted to see what the Wheatfield Fork of the Gualala River looked like from the Annapolis Road Bridge. Here's what he found.

John Sperry was out by Stump Beach, which is found at Salt Point State Park, and this is what he found - a seasonal waterfall and stormy seas.

Now we have a chance to dry out for a few days. After 28 inches in such a short time, we deserve a pause. Hello, sunshine!

Thanks to Peter and John for allowing me to share their photos with you here.
