About two weeks ago a storm left behind quite a cloud show, and brought rainbows. Marcelia Fosse wrote, “I caught this beautiful rainbow traveling northbound on the South Coast this past week. Yet another lucky Mendonoma blessing!”

We do have some rain in the forecast and we hope it arrives. The weather has been warm and dry, a boon for all the visitors who are here for the holidays.

Thanks to Marcelia for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

Marcelia Fosse was the lucky forager when she found Chanterelles, Cantharellus cibarius.

Marcelia was inspired by her find and she created this poem.

"Silver Bells…

Golden Chanterelles…

Friends, holidays, and fairy tales."

Thanks to Marcelia for allowing me to share her photo - and her poem - with you here.

It's shows the joy of anticipation, doesn't it? Below is a photo taken by Eric Anderson several years ago of a surfer catching a wave off Anchor Bay Beach.

Thanks to Marcelia and Eric for allowing me to share their photos with you here. We are having a lovely day on the Mendonoma Coast today, with sunshine and drifting clouds.

Marcelia Fosse took this photo on Thanksgiving morning, another reason to be grateful.

We had another wild storm hit the Mendonoma Coast last night. The seasonal creek that crosses our property, Quinliven Creek, has just come to life, always a reason to celebrate!
