Perry Hoffman said this was the happiest Harbor Seal he's ever met.

Now...did Perry's photo make you smile? Hope so!

We are having an amazing warm day after yesterday's storm. I had 0.46 inches in my gauge. The first Boletus edulis was found yesterday with many more to come in the days ahead.

Our first heat wave of the year is here. Of course a heat wave on the coast doesn't compare to inland temps. When we get close to 80 degrees we are having a heat wave! Allen Vinson photographed a Harbor Seal that looks pretty darn happy.

Lots of visitors are already here and more are sure to come with the big Gulf of the Farallones Sanctuary expansion celebration on Sunday at Gualala Arts. 11 am to 3 pm and the event is free. Plenty of kid-friendly activities too.

Thanks to Allen for allowing me to share his fun photo with you here.
