Jon Loveless spotted this handsome Buck resting in the sun after a rainstorm.

The big Buck looks pretty contented, doesn't he? In the west, only the prongs of one antler are counted. He will be shedding this big rack soon, and someone might be lucky and find it.

Thanks to Jon for allowing me to share his photo with you here.

Tricia Schuless photographed this photogenic four-point Buck recently. He looks like he is posing for Tricia, or beginning to sing!

This is the time of year that you need to be especially vigilant when driving as bucks are chasing does. Steve Coffee-Smith photographed a four-point buck this week. The buck was looking at an equestrian and her horse.

So give these big bucks a wide berth. They only have one thing on their minds!

Gualala Point Regional Park is a great place to see wildlife. Harm Wilkinson recently photographed a handsome four-point Buck at the park.

I will be speaking at the park on Saturday, July 18th, noon at the visitors' center. I'll be talking about all the different sightings you can see there. The event is free though there is a day use/parking fee of $7.00 if you haven't purchased an annual pass. Where to purchase a pass? The Four-eyed Frog Bookstore, of course...and from park rangers.

Jon Loveless recently spotted this handsome Buck - a four-point Buck in velvet. The western count is used here, where just one side of the antler prongs are counted.

He's a beauty. In a few months he will be looking for Does to call his own. Thanks to Jon for allowing me to share his photos with you here.
