No totality here - just a wedge missing from the sun. Still, it's exciting to witness. Barry Weiss took this photo at 11:15 am.

Thanks to Barry for allowing me to share his photo with you here.

ah, today the weather was so nice. Low 70's, gentle breeze - a Mendonoma Coast delight!

Two talented coast photographers were out in the wee hours of the night, photographing the Super Flower Blood Moon of May 26, 2021. First, here is Paul Kozal's lovely photo with the moon shining on the Pacific Ocean.

Rozanne Rapozo was up all night - she told me "sleep is overrated!" She put together this series of photos to show us the progression of the eclipse. Amazing!

I took a photo at dawn just minutes before the moon set.

The fog moved in this morning, though I can see blue skies up on the ridge. Micro climates!

Paul Brewer incorporated the clock tower in the Gualala's Cypress Center into his photo of the eclipse, thereby showing you the time he took the photo.

This photo is starring on the front page of last week's Independent Coast Observer.

Then Paul photographed the setting moon, which was a super moon, in the early hours of September 28. Nice to see it back to its usual color.

The eclipse took place in the early hours of the morning. Paul Kozal got this beautiful photo at the tail end of the eclipse.

There was a full moon to add to the magic. These farm buildings are relics on The Sea Ranch from the time the property was used as a sheep ranch.
