Paul Kozal was out recently photographing the waves at Walk On Beach, one of the public access trails on The Sea Ranch. Here is what he captured:

Margaret Lindgren, of Unbeaten Path Tours, took clients out two days ago, touring the Point Arena-Stornetta Lands. The surf was amazing.

The mist from the crashing waves drifted over Highway One. Yes, the Pacific Ocean was having its say!

We have received a lot of blessed rain here on the Mendonoma Coast. Every drop is welcome. On Tuesday a wild and windy storm hit the Coast.

It is fun to watch showers over the ocean. Several of these showers reached us as they headed east.

Thunderstorms sweeping over the coast.

The next day, yesterday, the swells were big, creating big waves. Rick and I went to the Point Arena Lighthouse to watch for Gray Whales with friends and I photographed some of the beautiful wave action. You will have to imagine the sound of the crashing waves. And, yes, we did see some Grays!

Swell after swell rolled in. It can be mesmerizing to watch the Pacific Ocean!

Today we await a smaller storm. The weekend is to be clear and warm. I'm wondering if abalone divers will be able to go on their first hunt for red treasure this year!

Welcome storms have been hitting the Mendonoma Coast. Those who love big crashing waves head for the bluffs to take a look at the Pacific Ocean in action. Between storms can bring some of the loveliest weather. Janet Burch recently photographed some beautiful waves off of The Sea Ranch.

The Gualala River is running high and muddy, such a welcome sight. After our bone dry January, the rains of February have been a blessing. May they continue in March!

Thanks to Janet for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

Photographers on the Mendonoma Coast love to photograph the beautiful waves. We are always searching for the perfect wave. Here are several photos taken recently. The first is from Paul Brewer.

Margaret Lindgren photographed this big wave splashing up onto the rocky bluff.

And Robert Scarola took this photo of a big wave coming in. That Gull better watch out!

Thanks to Robert, Margaret and Paul for allowing me to share their photos with you here.
