It is wonderful to see a Bobcat saunter by your back deck. That's just what happened to Thom Matson at his home on The Sea Ranch.

A confident Bobcat by Thom Matson

You can clearly see its tufted ears and short, bobbed tail. Below is another photo of the Bobcat, walking across a meadow with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop.

Bobcats love gophers and The Sea Ranch meadows have plenty of them!

Mark and Kitty Simkins are lucky people. They are regularly visited by a Bobcat at their place in Manchester. Mark thought this Bobcat looked like it was meditating.

What a beautiful animal! They hunt for gophers and other rodents in grassy meadows. Looks like the Simkins have plenty of gophers to keep this cat with the tufted ears and bobbed tail well fed.

To see one the most popular photos on this blog, a photo of a Bobcat, here is the link: http://www.mendonomasightings.com/2012/04/19/a-beautiful-bobcat-as-photographed-by-tom-osborne/

Mark Simkins was working in his office when he picked up on something moving outside. There was a beautiful Bobcat, just looking at him.

That is one healthy-looking, contented Bobcat. Mark said the cat stretched out and lounged for about fifteen minutes while Mark's camera was put to good use. Thanks to Mark for allowing me to share his photo with you here.
